Your safety is our highest priority. Please read this page carefully before beginning the program.

Safety Is Our Priority

This program has been designed by a physiotherapist with safety as a foundational principle. Every exercise includes safety cues, and the program includes comprehensive guidelines to help you practice safely. However, this program does not replace the individualised assessment and guidance of your own healthcare team. Please read the following information carefully.

Before You Begin

Consult your doctor or healthcare team before starting this or any exercise program

Obtain medical clearance confirming you are safe to exercise

Inform your healthcare provider about the types of exercises included in this program

Set up a safe, clear space for practice with a stable chair and flat surface

Have someone nearby or contactable during your first few sessions, if possible

Complete the in-app safety orientation before beginning any exercises

Review the exercise instructions and safety cues before attempting each exercise

Sharp, sudden, or increasing pain in your arm, hand, or any part of your body

Dizziness, light-headedness, or feeling faint

Shortness of breath that feels unusual or excessive

Nausea or feeling unwell

Unusual fatigue that feels disproportionate to the exercise

Loss of balance or sudden weakness

Any symptom that feels abnormal or concerning to you

If symptoms persist after stopping, contact your healthcare provider. If symptoms are severe or sudden, call emergency services.

Red Flags — Seek Immediate Medical Attention

The following symptoms may indicate a serious medical event. Stop all activity and call emergency services immediately if you experience:

Sudden severe headache

A sudden, severe headache unlike any you have experienced before could indicate a serious medical event. Call emergency services immediately.

Sudden weakness or numbness on one side

New or worsening weakness, numbness, or tingling on one side of your body may indicate a new stroke. Call emergency services immediately.

Difficulty speaking or understanding speech

Sudden difficulty with speech, slurred words, or confusion may be a sign of a new stroke. Call emergency services immediately.

Sudden vision changes

Sudden loss of vision, blurred vision, or double vision in one or both eyes requires immediate medical attention.

Chest pain or tightness

Chest pain, pressure, or tightness during or after exercise requires immediate medical evaluation. Stop exercising and call emergency services.

Sudden loss of coordination

A sudden loss of coordination or balance that is new or significantly worse than your baseline should be evaluated immediately.
